In this book the Twi alphabet, common to the principal dialects of Akuapem and Asante, is used. Anyone who can speak Akuapem can be understood by an Asante because the two forms are very very close. It must be pointed out, however, that in Akuapem, vowel harmony is used. In order, however, to help the Non-Twi speakers, it is reduced to th mininum in this work.
