The aircraft carrier Leviathan is the biggest, most powerful vessel the British Navy has ever commissioned, whose weaponry even includes a nuclear warhead, but technical problems and dissent among the crew have threatened to turn her into a floating battleground. Commander Bob Markready is the cool disciplinarian who takes over the running of the jinxed ship and vows to whip her into shape. Before long, Leviathan is ordered to spearhead an urgent patrol that takes her deep into freezing Atlantic waters, where the warring factions on board begin a fierce and perilous battle for supremacy.
